I've been reading this page for years.  recently it seems to have taken an Anti-NRA turn again.
Harry Reid is the reason we are able to pack into National Parks.  I am sure that he has supported other pro-2nd Amendment legislation.  The NRA supports politicians that support the 2nd Amendment.  Party and other legislation doesn't mater.

I, as a NRA Member, must state that I entirely object to any intention of this fine organization even considering supporting AZ (D) Sen. Harry Reid for re-election. Reason being, Mr. Reid, though a Second Amendment supporter, has shown by his actions in the U.S. Senate that he does not have this nations best interests at heart. He has thrown away his patriotism for President Obama's Liberal-Democratic beliefs, which are totally contrary to a majority of Americans. He does not deserve either the NRA support or the support of the voters in the great state of Arizona.

Been a long time visitor here, helped supporting it back when Angel owned the site.  IMHO, jpfo.org is the place to go for educational materials to obtain and pass out.

    KABA,

Colorado State University up until Friday had an open door policy allowing individuals with Concealed Carry Permits to carry concealed firearms on campus. On Friday the board voted against this and now plans to ban CCW holders form carrying on campus. This is a disregard for state and county law and is also a disregard for student body opinion that voted 21-3 to keep the current policy and allow students to carry on campus. The sheriff of the county in which CSU resides in also issued a statement that he would not enforce the new ruling nor would he detain or hold anyone that disregards CSU's new Firearms Policy. In the state of Colorado the Sheriff of the county in which you reside in issues the permits.

I feel this is an issue that needs to be brought to the attention of the public. This is also an issue in which can be fought. We as law abiding gun owners should not stand for this kind of thing. CSU's blatant removal of our right to protect ourselves on campus grounds is wrong. I want to bring this issue to the attention of as many gun owners as possible and gain the backing and support we need to reverse this policy change. There is no reason for this and there has been absolutely no incidences related to individuals with CCW’s that legally carry on campus.

    Thank You,

    Scott Easton

About ten years ago when Angel founded this site it was cutting edge and great for getting people fired up about RKBA. The past decade has been a string of victories for RKBA supporters in many states and even a few at the federal level.

This site, unfortunately, was sold to Mr. Gottlieb's group, which was a setback. Links to GOA were removed, for instance. Moderation of comments has also suffered, and anti-semitic and conspiracy nutcase comments drowned out the rest of us. Nikki Fellenzer, who once gallantly moderated the threads alone, couldn't do it alone.

Now this site has become a complete embarassment to the RKBA community, a provider of ammunition to anti-gun forces which like to paint us all as uneducated morons and racists.

I returned here today after leaving a couple of years ago, and I see it's gotten worse. Even with regitration, hate-filled comments are the rule rather than the exception. This site is very far from the reasonable discussion zone it once was.

If you're reading this, Nikki, I hope you're doing well.

The new requirement to register in order post is moronic and is stiffling comment on the site. Compare the total # post per day before this went into effect to the tiny # since. People come to this site for the freewheeling debate and comment. Yes there are trolls and idiots that post. Many non idiots will never register because they don't trust that their info won't end up in the hands of Govt goons. This is killing this site.

I first came to your site to read instances where citizens used firearms in self-defense, a few years ago. Believe I did a Google search, after reading all of the NRA's.

I'm writing today, because of my disappointment at what I consider a delay in posting anything about Obama's speech on Indefinite Prevention Detention. On Google there are several instances of articles over the past few days. I realize the victory in Congress was important, but 3 or 4 articles would have been greatly sufficient. I don't believe the link to the MSNBC videos was on the blog. I found it in a Google search. My memory is so bad, I can't remember where I heard of the subject to prompt the search.

I know you-all do your best to provide appropriate posts in a timely fashion, and that the Saturday "issue" is done Friday nites. Still, I believe that given the DHS report -- and I just learned today that the FBI has been investigating vets since December -- that an awful lot of participants on the blog fear their activities on the blog may make them targets of Obama's decision to copy Bush in denying due process to citizens.

Thanks for the blog. It is a critical part of my day. I believe this is the first (or possibly second) occasion which prompted me to "complain" about the way it has been run.

I came here looking for help to get my brothers illeagally confiscated guns back before they all disappear from the evidence room,(haven't found that yet) feel free to let me know of where I can go for help if possible.I heard the NRA would help but no luck there so I thought about you. This is a  great site I plan to visit often.

We are back in business and we are the Wyoming TRT.

    http://wyomingtrt.com/

You can read about the town of Pine Bluffs and how this town has been victimized and lied about. I wore a gun on my hip at the last town meeting of April 6th and I was not arrested. In fact the mayor of the town thanked me for speaking about the issue and enlightening him and the others about what was behind the lie.

You can go to our website to read about it on our forum and on our issues page. Tyranny will not be tolerated within the gun rights movement. The back stabbing of other gun owners will be exposed on our website. Things will no longer as they were back in 2001.

Through KABA,et. al., it has finally dawned on me that my right to keep and bear arms goes above and beyond any government's "power" to allow me to do so, and even being the law abiding citizen that I've always been, I've finally become aware of just how far this government had encroached on my rights, and nothing BO or  his cronies in Washington may do will EVER take my guns away from me.  Maybe living in Texas, with the very healthy guns-rights Governors we've had (George W. Bush and Rick Perry), I've finally found the "gall" to stand up for what's always been mine: the right to keep and bear arms, and use them as necessary to protect my home, family, and property.

Responsible gun owners should not support people that shoot to kill indiscriminately.  This article on the main page http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dws/wfaa/latestnews/stories/wfaa081205_wz_cedarhillshooting.32db78ec.html
disturbs me. There is no question a crime was being committed, but the need to use deadly force is very much in question here.  If a life is in danger I whole heartly support the right to protect oneself.  But killing someone over a car stero gives gun supporters a bad name.  If it turns out this man's life was not in danger he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and responsible gun rights advocates should publicly condemn such actions.
