Determined robber gets shot, flees with money (TX)
OpSD --"This is Texas so wouldn't you know it, there's a gun under the counter. When the clerk was ordered to his knees he was able to reach the gun and shoot the robber as he grabbed cigarettes."

Business owner kills 1 criminal, gets wounded by accomplices (CA)
OpSD --"The owner startled one of the intruders, identified by police as Pierre Reddrick Jr., and shot him in the chest. Reddrick was seriously wounded and managed to flee over a fence despite bleeding profusely."

Concealed carrier fights back after gun held to his head (MA)
OpSD --"As Blake turned to talk to someone behind him, the concealed carrier took action. He drew his .357 Magnum and fired multiple shots at Blake - striking him twice in the chest."

Man protects wife with 357 Magnum (TX)
OpSD --"'Usually when people kick in a door and come in on you for a home invasion when you're there, they're not just there to steal your things,' said Houston Police. 'They're trying to hurt you. It's good these people had a weapon and he was able to protect himself and his wife.'"

OpSD --"Vasquez and Franqui drove off but quickly turned around and came back. Franqui then rammed the Staff Sergeant's car head on. Vazquez got out of his car and drew a gun on the Staff Sergeant, asking him if he had a problem. The Staff Sergeant drew his legally concealed handgun and opened fire on both suspects, striking Vasquez in the chest."
